The Mysteries and Powers of the Third Eye
|
This picture is drawn by Alex Grey. It depicts the energy body of this man while he is praying. Notice the "THIRD EYE" between his two eyes. The Third Eye or Minds Eye is the key to psycic abilities. Many mystics from Buddism, Hinduism, Kabbalah, and Taoism belive that opening this Third Eye up is the secret to seeing fields of energy, seeing past lives, and reading others thoughts i.e. telepathy. The Minds eye is used to making up scenery in your minds imagination of the past or future. When this stops your ego will resist, for the change of staying in the present is a grand change indeed. The thoughts of things other than the present are the "Chains" which halt your Spirit from becoming dominant as opposed to the ego being dominant. When the Spirit is dominant we have many Psycic abilities and a fine sense of intuition. The optimal usage of the Third Eye is when it is empty...when one is not really thinking and is engulfed in the "Present Moment".

Kabbalah...the religion of old mystics made simple

This is the Kabbalistic "TREE of LIFE". Kabbalah is a form of Judism that is the old testament itself. It was passed down from generation to generation by word of mouth and was known only by the most devoted Judiac Mystics. Only in the last 100 years has it become known to the common man. It is interesting because a lot of it's concepts deal with the bible in Christianity. Kabbalah explains that when Moses recived the old testament he was given two copies: One copy was in Story based format...the other was a DE-CODER for the stories used to describe advanced ideas that were too far out for the people of that time, hence the bible was put into story format. This is a big part of Kabbalah. You can check out Kabbalah's interpretation of the bible and science if you have some time to take a small course on Kabbalah at the following page.
